• 2 years (Grade: 10^th-11^th)

What Does Sophomore Edge Entail?

Our comprehensive Sophomore Edge counseling package aims to solidify the foundational skills learned and developed during our Freshman Advantage program. Your counselor will assist with optimizing academic and extracurricular activities and strategically preparing for future college applications. 

During Sophomore Edge, you will devote your attention to several key areas.

Major and Career Exploration

As your sophomore year unfolds, you will begin to examine different career options to determine the most appropriate match for your interests and abilities. Your counselor will help you choose the best college major based on your career objectives.

Course Selection and Academic Planning

All Insight Education counselors have the expertise to help you plan your classes so they align with your academic major and career preferences. Depending on your choices, you may be able to complete your courses in school, online, or over the summer.  

Standardized Testing Preparation

We will help you plan and strategize to take and successfully complete the various standardized tests, including the AP, PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, and ACT exams. We offer classes, boot camps, and one-on-one tutoring lessons that will enable you to confidently approach these challenging tests. 

Summer Experience Planning

Preparing for college and the admissions process doesn’t end with the school year. Your Insight Education counselor will work with you to set up a summer experience program that allows you to explore your areas of interest more deeply. You will also discover the value of teamwork and learn responsibility.
