About Our Junior Distinction Program

We’ve developed our Junior Distinction program to meet the unique needs and goals of 11th graders as they prepare for college. You will work one-on-one with a dedicated counselor who will help improve your skills and enhance your prospects in several critical areas.

Academic Excellence

While your grades aren’t the only factor that schools consider, they play a prominent role in the admissions criteria. Your Insight Education counselor will collaborate with you to develop strategies to improve your academic performance, even if you’re already a high achiever. 

Standardized Test Preparation

Most colleges require prospective students to complete and attain acceptable scores on standardized tests, such as the AP, PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, and ACT. We have the knowledge, tools, and resources to help you prepare for and complete these exams, including an assortment of targeted prep courses and boot camps that can improve our students’ success rate. 

Leadership Skills Development

Our program will help you develop leadership skills that can appeal to prospective colleges and prove invaluable for the rest of your life. We can provide leadership success training during school hours and on your own time, helping you grow into a mature, responsible, and respected member of your community. 

Extracurricular Activity Participation

Engaging in activities like sports, theater, volunteering, and student organizations inside school demonstrates to colleges that you are a well-rounded individual with more to offer in addition to academic prowess. Your counselor can recommend activities based on your unique abilities and interests to fill the gaps and present you as a “whole” person.
