ACT® Prep Programs
The ACT® exam is a standardized admissions test implemented throughout the United States to help determine a student’s preparedness for college. The ACT® exam enables school admissions personnel to assess the applicant’s proficiency in English, reading comprehension, mathematics, and science. The test features a multiple-choice format and an optional writing component.
Each ACT® section is scored on a scale of one to 36. A high ACT® score in each of these areas can improve a student’s chances of being accepted at a specific institution. Insight Education offers a comprehensive ACT® boot camp that will allow you to approach the exam with confidence and increase the likelihood of a successful outcome.
Detailed ACT® Boot Camp Breakdown
Our in-person ACT® prep boot camp will equip you with everything you need to know to conquer this intensive exam. This well-rounded program begins by focusing on the fundamentals, such as test-taking skills, critical skills, and learning from mistakes, to lay a solid foundation for the remainder of the course. You will also learn various conceptual learning strategies to boost your preparation efforts.
Options include a five-day express course ($800) and a more in-depth 10-day camp ($1,290). ACT® prep in Cupertino, California, typically follows this schedule:

The 36-Point ACT® Test
The American College Testing (ACT®) is a multiple-choice test that includes a writing component. The ACT® includes an English section that tests standard English and rhetorical skills, a Mathematics section that tests high school-level math skills, a Reading comprehension section, and a Science section that tests your analytical and problem-solving skills in the natural sciences.
So, although colleges consider the ACT® equivalent to the SAT®, the tests themselves are not identical. So you must prepare for them differently. At Insight, our ACT® Insight program will teach you what you need to know to excel in every section of the ACT® with confidence.
As college admissions professionals, we understand the importance of your ACT® score when thinking broadly about your college admissions journey. ACT® Insight will equip you with just what you need so that you can accomplish your ACT® goals. We begin by focusing on the fundamentals—test-taking skills, practicing critical thinking and analysis skills, and learning from mistakes—in a dynamic group setting, as well as one-on-one settings. Our instructors are well-versed in their section of choice and love working with and teaching high school students. Each instructor has an undergraduate degree or higher in a relevant field and past teaching experience.
