About Insight Education
Insight’s mission is to provide professional guidance and support to students and families as they navigate their way through high school and prepare for college. At the heart of our mission is enhancing and distilling each student’s true potential inside and outside the classroom. Our focus is on delivering an individualized service tailored to the unique educational needs of each student and family.
This position is a part-time IN-PERSON or REMOTE position based in Cupertino, California.
Our instructors teach Student Lessons in a one-one setting or they teach/lead Digital SAT, ACT and/or AP Classes helping students to achieve their academic or test prep goals. Instructors we hire are expected to prepare for their sessions in advance, evaluate students’ past diagnostic exams, help students with problems they are encountering, teach time-saving strategies, assign homework, and submit online session reports after every one-on-one Lesson or Class.
Requirements:
- 1. Proven familiarity/expertise/comfort with subject content up to and including AP level and/or SAT and ACT.
- 2. Flexible schedule and immediate availability to begin working, with the option of a long-term arrangement, if mutually agreeable, and the relationship has proven fruitful for both the Instructor and Insight Education.
- 3. Instructors are required to take a diagnostic test as part of the hiring process.
- 4. Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- 5. Experience managing a classroom and/or prior one-on-one tutoring experience.
We are Hiring Instructors for the Following:
Digital SAT: Reading, Writing and Math Sections; more content info HERE
ACT: English (Grammar), Math, Reading and Science Sections; more content info HERE
Sciences: High School Science courses from the Freshman level to AP Biology, AP Physics (1, 2, C), AP Chemistry
Mathematics: High School Math from Algebra 1 to AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB/BC including the new AP Precalculus course and Pre-calculus Honors.
Computer Science (CS): High School Computer Science, AP Computer Science
History: High School History up to AP US History, AP World History, AP European History
Spanish: High School Spanish 1 to AP Spanish Language and Culture and AP Spanish Literature
English: High School English courses up to AP English Language and AP English Literature
