INSIGHT CHOICE AND INSIGHT EDGE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PAYMENT OF YOUR TUITION
$750.00 non-refundable minimum fee is required paid in full before beginning Insight Choice service.

$3,800.00 non-refundable tuition is required in full before beginning Insight Edge service. Insight Edge includes up to 8 hours of one-on-one meetings as indicated in the product description.

Additional Insight class or tutoring services (SAT, PSAT, ACT, SAT2, & AP Prep, Academic Tutoring) are billed separately at non- member prices and automatically charged to your credit card. Failure to complete timely payments of any outstanding balance will result in cessation of service with no refund plus interest charges on the outstanding balance.

Enrollment fees, counseling fees and tutoring fees are subject to change at the sole discretion of Insight Education, LLC. Returned checks are subject to a mandatory $30 fee. Declined credit cards are subject to a $50 handling fee. Course material replacement is subject to a $75 fee. Course material (if any) replacement is subject to a $50 fee. Charges for services that exceed the $750 initial payment for Insight Choice will be charged automatically by Insight Education, LLC to the credit card on file based on the pricing authorization sheet you signed separately. By signing and agreeing to this contract, parents accept financial responsibility for the counseling and tutoring services the student named on this contract receives from counselors and instructors employed by Insight Education, LLC.

After the first formal counseling meeting, no refunds can be issued and the start date of the program cannot be changed for any reason. Please notify your Insight Counselor in writing within 24 hours of your first formal counseling meeting if you are not satisfied and/or seek a refund. Refunds must be made through the same payment method you used to purchase service. Credit card purchases will not be refunded by check. A 20% non-refundable fee will be charged to those requesting a refund after enrollment and within 24 hours of the completion of their first counseling session. No refunds are offered after this point.

GENERAL PAYMENT CONDITION
Insight Education will bill only one individual or family with respect to a student’s account. If parents are divorced or separated it is the responsibility of the family to assign one parent or legal guardian to be held legally accountable for all payments while settling the distribution of said costs separate from Insight Education, LLC, since these are private family matters. The parent(s) or guardian(s) who sign(s) below will be the person(s) held legally accountable for all payments, financial obligations, bill collections fees, attorneys’ fees, legal disputes associated with this contract.

CONFIDENTIALITY
All course materials, information, and techniques are the property of Insight Education, LLC and may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold. Student and family agree not to provide any such materials, information, or techniques to a third party for any reason. Student and family also agree not to duplicate and/or resell these materials to anyone. Any student or family found to be in violation of this agreement is subject to immediate removal from the Insight Program they selected without refund. Any student or family found to be in violation of this agreement after their Insight counseling program has expired will be contacted by our attorney and will face legal action. This includes making use of Insight knowledge, content and advice to engage with your own clients, nor or in the future, as a paid admissions consultant/counselor.

LATE FEE
If payment is not received by the bill’s due date a 5% fee (calculated as a % of the principal amount only) will be assessed on a monthly basis until payment is received. If Insight Education, LLC is forced to resort to Professional Bill Collections Services or Attorneys in order to collect amounts owed to us all associated fees will be charged to ALL legal guardians of the student. We will also file reports with credit reporting agencies.

RIGHT TO REMOVE WITHOUT REFUND
Students and their families agree not to solicit Insight counselors or tutors for independent employment. Insight reserves the right to remove any student/family, without refund, found to be in violation of this agreement. Insight Education, LLC also reserves the right to remove any student who is found to be disruptive in our offices or found to be in violation of our confidentiality policies. Students found to be under the influence of any alcohol or illegal substances will be dismissed immediately. No refund will be issued in any of the above cases.

MISSED MEETING POLICY

Missed meetings will be charged in full. Scheduled meetings that are missed can only be made up if students have reasonable cause and have notified their Insight counselor or tutor at least 24 hours in advance. Insight counselors or tutors can make exceptions at their discretion in the case of exceptional circumstances. Students who miss more than three (3) meetings will be removed from the program without refund. While Insight counselors will make efforts to remind forgetful students of meeting dates and times, the student and/or parent holds the ultimate responsibility for remembering to attend each scheduled counseling meeting.

ESSAY REVIEW POLICY

Insight Choice:

Insight Edge includes:

• Two remote reviews/edits of Applications: Univ. of California Campuses + Cal State Univ. Campuses + THREE (3) additional colleges or programs*
• Essay editing, brainstorming, and review happen during live meetings
• Does not include remote essay editing or review or diagnostic standardized testing

The program expires when you complete the final one-on-one hour of counseling you are entitled to. Essay review is limited to only the number and agreed upon list of colleges in your package of choice. If a student runs out of one-on-one hours or his/her $750 Insight Choice deposit and still requires essay-editing services in person or by e-mail, their package must be upgraded. If a student chooses not to upgrade but continues to receive one-on-one counseling, a flat non negotiable rate of $250/hour will be charged. By signing below, parent or guardian agrees to pay $250/hour for all hours in excess of the stipulated package hours noted on page 1. Telephone consultations are considered equivalent to “counseling.” Essay editing services will be charged at a rate of $250/hour. Insight Choice & Insight Edge do not include any unlimited services that are included in Insight Education’s Comprehensive Counseling PACKAGE (Admissions Insight) options. It is the ultimate responsibility of the student and his/her parents or guardians to keep track of the number of meetings they have completed and/or ask their respective Insight counselor for a meeting hour log. We reserve the right to submit said log in up to seven (7) calendar days from date of request by parent or student. SENIOR PACKAGE UPGRADE STIPULATIONS If the student completes their prescribed number of meeting hours and/or would like assistance with additional college essays and/or college applications per their package of choice, they can upgrade to a higher tier package. Upgrades incur a non-negotiable $100 fee plus the current difference in price between the two packages. INSIGHT’S COUNSELING HOURS Monday & Friday: 11:00am-6:00pm Tuesday-Thursday: 11:00am-7:00pm Saturday: 10:00am-5:00pm Sunday: CLOSED HOLIDAY POLICIES Insight Education will be closed on November 28-29, 2019 in observance of the National Thanksgiving Day Holiday. Insight Education will also be operating on a holiday schedule from December 21, 2019 – January 5, 2020 inclusive in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day. Counselors will remain available for urgent questions and emergencies during the 2019-2020 Christmas Holiday break but we cannot guarantee last minute unscheduled help. Our time and priority is our comprehensive counseling package clients. ESSAY/APPLICATION EDITING & DELIVERY FOR INSIGHT CHOICE – 48-hour or 72-hour review period begins when payment and essay(s) are received, whichever happens LAST. You will receive an e-mail from Insight Education confirming the start of the 48-hour or 72-hour period. – You must state 48-hour or 72-hour preference in your delivery e-mail or we will assume 48-hour delivery. – Essays received after close of business on Saturdays (after 5:00pm) and on Sundays are considered received on Monday at 11:00am (open of business). – Essays must be delivered to Insight Education as an e-mail attachment in Microsoft Word doc or docx format. – We do not accept Google docs. – Comprehensive UC App Review includes two rounds of essay editing (Word Docs) plus one comprehensive review of the UC Application once final essays have been pasted into the online application. – Application Insight review is done by hand on a PDF of your application. Insight Education will scan the application with comments and edits and e-mail this version to the student as a PDF. – Second review pricing of applications and/or essays are only valid for the same applications or essays as Round 1. – Initial Consultation fee credit does not apply to Insight Choice. – Diagnostic Testing, Classes, Tutoring are not included in the Insight Choice program. – Last minute requests on or near an admissions deadline are not guaranteed (see Holiday policies). ADDITIONAL MEMBERSHIP CONDITIONS Insight Education, LLC and/or its employees will not be held liable for any accidents or injuries incurred on our site or during Insight sponsored programs. Insight Education, LLC will employ its best resources to provide comprehensive and strategic college admissions counseling yet we make NO GUARANTEE regarding admissions results to any competitive internship, college or university. Insight Education, LLC also makes NO GUARANTEE regarding SAT/ACT Score improvement irrespective of your initial diagnostic test score (this condition applies to all classes or hourly test prep services). Insight Education, LLC reserves the right to change prices at any time at our sole discretion.
